About our Plants Site Survey and Rescue Once we have inspected an area set for construction and have found wild plants in that location, we obtain the land steward's permission to remove the plants before destruction takes place. All plants are collected with respect for the plant, the land owner and the State of Minnesota Statute 18H.18, "Conservation of Certain Wildflowers." The Nursery Wildflower Rescue is the only native plant nursery in the U.S. that relies entirely on rescued plants to make up its inventory. The Wildflower Rescue nursery is located in rural Northfield, Minnesota, where our rescued plants are grown in raised beds with every effort being made to enhance root growth and plant vigor. We are located on private land and not available for public tours. Please email us to find out where our plants may currently be displayed beyond our nursery (sales events, speaking engagements, woodland displays, etc.) We only offer for sale plants that meet the highest quality and Minnesota Department of Agriculture standards. Root System Comparison Care and Conditions Because we have no control over the environmental and cultural situation our rescued plants encounter upon the purchaser's receipt, we cannot guarantee the success of our plants. However, we can assure you that you will receive a quality rhizome. It is up to you to make sure that you have the appropriate site for your new plants and that you follow through with the care that each may require. All cypripediums (Lady's slippers) and other rescued plants have been rescued and recorded in accordance with the USDA and the Minnesota Department of Agriculture. All rescued plants collected by Wildflower Rescue of MN are done so with respect for the plant, landowner and the State of Minnesota Statute 18H.18 "The Conservation of Certain Wildflowers." Wildflower Rescue of MN is permitted annually by the Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA) to rescue wildflowers and plants experiencing imminent habitat destruction. All cypripediums or lady's slippers and other plants in our native plant rescue nursery have been have been rescued and recorded in strict accordance with the USDA and the MDA. Brad Pausch and Jane Pausch ensure that the Wildflower Rescue of MN nursery salvages and sells these native orchids, and all woodland and wetland plants, with complete respect for the plant, the landowner and the state of Minnesota Statute 18H.18 "The Conservation of Certain Wildflowers".
