Welcome to Wildflower Rescue of MN Wildflower Rescue of MN, a unique family-owned and operated rescued native wildflower nursery or native plant rescue nursery. Brad Pausch and Jane Pausch, work in tandem with various county, state, and federal departments and government agencies, enabling the successful location, rescue and preservation of thousands of native wildflowers and plants. Wildflower Rescue of MN can only rescue those native plants experiencing imminent habitat destruction due to encroaching development and construction. Plants rescued and sold locally... Our plants are rescued and sold locally, nationally and internationally through the cooperation of the USDA, Fish and Wildlife Services, and the Minnesota Department of Agriculture. We also work with independent citizens and organizations that contact Wildflower Rescue of MN to investigate private lands experiencing development. All plants are rescued with the utmost respect for the plant, landowner and the State of Minnesota Statute 18H.18   "The Conservation of Certain Wildflowers." Our rescued native plant inventory is always changing, dependent on what we are able to locate and get to in time to rescue. Currently, Wildflower Rescue of MN is home to several Minnesota native Cypripedium (lady's slipper) species including the Cypripedium reginae (Showy lady's slipper), Cypripedium parviflorum pubescens or large yellow lady's slipper and Cypripedium parviflorum parviflorum or small yellow lady's slipper. Our wildflower nursery and/or rescue nursery also looks forward to sustaining a variety of other native plants including trillium ferns and sedges in the near future. All of the native plants in our rescue nursery have been saved from the seemingly inevitable impact of construction and urban development. Wildflower Rescue stands for and supports environmental responsibility. We provide our rescued plants for sale as a means to continue our salvage efforts as well as maintain our native plant nursery. The Wildflower Rescue of MN wildflower nursery is permitted annually by the Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA) to rescue wildflowers and plants experiencing imminent habitat destruction. All cypripediums or lady's slippers and other plants in our native plant rescue nursery have been have been rescued and recorded in strict accordance with the USDA and the MDA.
